I. Application & Fee
Q1. Is there any fee to apply for or collect a Professional Pass?
A: No. Application for and collection of the Professional Pass are free of charge.
Pass holders may use the badge to enter and exit the Taipei International Book Exhibition venue an unlimited number of times during the exhibition period.
Q2. Is the Professional Pass subject to approval?
A: Please refer to the occupation categories listed on the application page. Applicants who fall within the eligible professional categories may apply for a Professional Pass.
When collecting the badge on-site, staff will verify that the registration details match the information on your business card.
Q3. Is there a quota limit for Professional Pass applications?
A: There is no quota limit for Professional Pass applications.
We strongly encourage applicants to use the pre-registration system. After completing pre-registration and obtaining a QR code, you will be able to expedite the on-site verification and badge collection process.
II. Badge Collection & Use
Q4. Is the Professional Pass available for collection on any date or time?
A: No. The Professional Pass can only be collected at the designated location during the announced time slot, which is February 3, from 10:00 to 17:00.
Please plan your schedule accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
If you are unable to collect your Professional Pass at the specified time and location, you are welcome to purchase a regular admission ticket to enter the exhibition.
Q5. Can someone else collect the Professional Pass on my behalf?
A: No. Badge collection requires the applicant to present the QR code sent to the registered email address and a business card for on-site verification.
The Professional Pass is issued on a one person, one badge basis, and applicants must collect their own badge in person.
Q6. Can a Professional Pass be reissued if it is lost?
A: No. The Professional Pass cannot be reissued if lost.
Please wear your badge at all times when entering the exhibition halls and keep it properly secured.
If the badge is lost, you may purchase a regular admission ticket at the exhibition entrance to gain access.
III. Name & Registration Details
Q7. What if the name on my badge does not match my passport or business card?
A: On-site verification is conducted based on your business card, which will be used as the primary reference.
Please note that the Professional Pass does not have a pre-printed name. After collecting your badge, you may attach your business card to the Professional Pass for identification during the exhibition.
Q8. Can I modify my application details after submission?
A: No. Once submitted, application information cannot be edited.
Please review your details carefully before submitting to avoid any omissions or errors. If changes are required, we recommend submitting a new application with the correct information.
Q9. Which areas can I access with a Professional Pass?
A: Professional Pass holders may freely and repeatedly enter the Taipei International Book Exhibition venue during the exhibition period, from February 3 to February 8, during official opening hours. Access is limited to the Exhibition Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center.
Q10. Can I access the Rights Center with a Professional Pass?
A: No. The Rights Center is a restricted-access area.
Access is granted only to Rights Table holders or individuals who have pre-arranged meetings with Rights Table holders and present a business card for verification on-site. Holding a Professional Pass alone does not grant access to the Rights Center.
Q11. Are there any meeting spaces available for Professional Pass holders?
A: Meeting spaces and related resources at TIBE are available through stand registration or Rights Table reservation, which are designed for international professionals seeking to conduct business activities.
Please note that:
- Regular registration for stands in the International Zone closed on September 30, and
- Applications for Rights Table rental closed on November 7.
Both options are currently fully booked, and no further applications are being accepted at this time.
V. Meetings, Rights & Matchmaking
Q12. Does TIBE provide an online B2B matchmaking platform, access to exhibitor or Rights Table contact information, or assistance in arranging meetings?
A:
Certain professional services are provided exclusively to registered exhibitors and Rights Table holders at the Taipei International Book Exhibition.
For organizations that register a stand or reserve a Rights Table, TIBE provides access to the following resources:
- Exhibitor Directory
- Pre-TIBE Online Pitching Sessions
- TIBE Online Platform, which allows exhibitors to showcase up to 15 book titles with rights information and contact details
For non-exhibiting organizations, please note that:
- TIBE is not authorized to share contact information of exhibitors or Rights Table holders
- TIBE does not provide an online B2B matchmaking or appointment-booking platform
- TIBE is not able to coordinate or arrange individual meetings on behalf of participants
These services are reserved for exhibitors and Rights Table holders.
For those interested in these opportunities, we kindly recommend making early reservations from the summer period, when applications for stands and Rights Tables typically open.

While individualized matchmaking services are not available, international professionals are welcome to join selected networking events during TIBE.
