TIBE 2026 Unveils Vibrant New Key Visual Celebrating the Theme “Reading is Amazing”

The Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) has unveiled the official key visual for its 2026 edition, created collaboratively by illustrators Huang Yu-Chin (黃郁欽) and Tsao Juei-Chih (陶樂蒂). Reflecting the year’s theme, “Reading is Amazing,” the poster presents a lively and colorful world where readers appear across both the sea and the sky, capturing the joy, imagination, and boundless possibilities found in books.

At the center of the visual is a smiling whale symbolizing Taiwan. According to illustrator Huang Yu-Chin (黃郁欽), the use of bold, vivid colors highlights how Taiwan—though small—is strikingly visible in the vast ocean and impossible for the world to overlook. Elements such as the whale, elephant, birds, and fish integrate book-inspired wing shapes, conveying how reading allows us to soar freely, cross borders, and travel anywhere our imagination leads.

To underscore Thailand as the 2026 Guest of Honor, the design incorporates the English slogan alongside its Thai translation, complemented by a flying elephant that subtly emphasizes the year's thematic focus. From February 3 to February 8, 2026, visitors are invited to Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 to explore Thai culture and discover the many wonders and surprises that reading can bring.
