「國家電影及視聽文化中心」是我國唯一典藏影視聽資產專責行政法人機構，以強化影視聽資產典藏研究修復推廣、實現資產公共化任務為宗旨。為「國際電影資料館聯盟」（FIAF）正式會員，前身為財團法人「國家電影中心」及「國家電影資料館」。 在十餘座片庫中典藏計有電影膠片約2萬部、影視聽文物近40萬件，自2008年起開始數位修復業務，至2024年膠片數位掃描7071部，合作修復69部，自主修復29部電影，致力於透過數位修復技術搶救保存影音檔案，以影視聽媒介保存記憶、典藏歷史。

Formerly known as the Taiwan Film Institute (TFI) and the Chinese Taipei Film Archive (CTFA), the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute (TFAI) is the only administrative institution in Taiwan that specializes in the collection of audiovisual assets, with the mission of preserving, restoring, researching, and promoting these assets and making them available to the public. TFAI is a member of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF). We house about 20,000 film titles and 400,000 artifacts in more than 10 vaults. We started digitally restoring films in 2008, and as of 2024, we finished 7071 advanced digital scans and 98 digitally restored titles ( 69 with partners, 29 in-house). We are committed to rescuing and preserving audio-visual assets through digital restoration technology, in hopes of safeguarding our collective memory and history.
