Organizers: Breaking the pattern in the past two exhibition that domestic participating books offered by publishers were categorized, selected by experts appointed by the Government Information Office and exhibited collectively, this year the exhibition venue was leased to each individual exhibitor and organized distinctively according to one's own lines of products and main targets. The exhibition was in a new style of diversity and energy.
This year, the exhibition followed the pattern of Frankfurt International Book Exhibition that the first two days were open for copyright trades and exchanges among professionals only. The last three days were open for the public and it attracted audience of over 350,000. On the May issue of “Publishers Weekly” of the year, a 34-paged feature story was dedicated to “ Taiwan : an emerging new copyright market.” 【 Content of Exhibition 】 Theme Pavilion: “History of Chinese Book” It exhibited the treasured book and authentic historical books by the National Central Library and issued four stamps themed on Chinese books. The co-organizer, Kuang-fu Bookstore published “The Story of Books,” introducing the history of Chinese books. |
