佛光山開山祖師 星雲大師一生筆耕不輟，致力於文化教育工作，從1959年創辦「佛教文化服務處」經過一甲子的努力陸續成立12種各有特色的出版單位，並以英、日、韓、德、法、西、葡、俄、越、泰、印尼、尼泊爾等二十多種語文流通全球，增進文化交流。 出版內容涵蓋：佛學、文學、心靈勵志、藝術文化、學術論文、童話漫畫、食譜、影音、工具書、電子書等多元類別。從最初出版白話易懂的著作開始，逐步發展為內容多元的專業出版機構，致力於「傳遞知識‧帶動閱讀」落實書香社會，淨化人心的願景。

Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Fo Guang Shan, dedicated his life to writing and cultural education. Since establishing the Buddhist Cultural Service Center in 1959, he has over six decades established twelve distinctive publishing units, distributing his works globally in more than twenty languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, and Nepali, thus promoting cultural exchange. His publications cover a wide range of categories, including Buddhism, literature, self-help, art and culture, academic papers, children's comics, cookbooks, audio-visual materials, reference books, and e-books. Starting with easily understandable works in plain language, he has gradually developed into a professional publishing institution with diverse content, committed to "transmitting knowledge and promoting reading," realizing the vision of a book-loving society and purifying hearts.
