德間書店是於1954年創立的綜合出版社，出版作品領域廣泛，橫跨文學、商業・實用・體育等非文學書、漫畫、兒童書籍及雜誌，尤其在娛樂領域上實力雄厚，擁有世界最古老的動畫雜誌《Animage》。導演宮崎駿的知名作品《風之谷》於1982年在該雜誌連載，並於1984年改編為動畫電影。德間書店從早期即開始以出版品為核心，致力於IP創造及拓展。 德間書店現在為Culture Entertainment集團成員，集團內部也致力於以本公司原作為基礎的影視作品企劃製作、發行及宣傳等全方位的業務擴展。在翻譯出版方面，德間書店也積極創作出能引起日本國內外關注的作品，其中代表作《佐賀的超級阿嬤》系列在全球突破八百萬本；近年在改編電影上獲得成功的《美麗的他》也已授權海外十種語言。Tokuma Shoten Publishing Co., Ltd. was founded in 1954 as a publisher of literary works, business, sports books, comics, children’s books, magazines, and more. It maintains a strong presence in entertainment and has now grown into the Culture Entertainment Group. The group is engaged in the planning, production, and distribution of films and videos based on original works. Building on earlier successes such as the Saga no Gabai Bāchan (Gabai Granny from Saga) series, which has sold more than eight million copies worldwide, and the recent hit film adaptation of Utsukushii Kare (My Beautiful Man), which has been translated into ten languages, Tokuma Shoten aims to create works that will be talked about not only in Japan but on the international stage.
