As always, there will be over 50 publishing professionals attending this year’s Taipei International Book Exhibition at the Japan Pavilion. Additionally, Japan has especially organized a “Kawashima Kotori Theme Exhibition,” which is bound to attract lots of fans visiting the Japan Pavilion.

 

 

Korea A917

A total of 6 publishers will participate in the Korea Pavilion at 2019 TIBE. To prepare for 2020 TIBE as Guest of Honor, Korea Publishers Association that supervises the Korean Pavilion will organize a special exhibition introducing Korean authors whose books have already been translated in Taiwan or scheduled to be published in 2019. In this special exhibition, visitors are able to meet a variety of works ranging from the early publications to newly published novels of Korea’s leading authors.

 

Shon aram

Born in 1980, Shon aram published his first novel Page Where Truth is Erased (2008) in 2008. The representative novels are Minority Opinion (2010) and D-minus (2014). Minority Opinion was produced as a movie with same title in 2013 and won Best Screenplay Prize in 36th Blue Dragon Film Awards and in 24th Buil Film Awards. This book was published in Taiwan in 2018.

 

 

Hwang Jungeun

The author Hwang Jungeun was born in Seoul in 1976 and started her career as the short story "Mother" won the prize in Annual Spring Literary Contest of Gyunghyang Shinmun in 2005. She won the representative Korean literary awards several times with novels The Seven Thirty-two Elephant Train (2010), Passi’s Coming Into the World (2012), and One Hundred Shadows (2010) etc. One Hundred Shadows is going to be published in Taiwan in July, 2019.

 

 

Hong Kong A511

This year, Hong Kong Pavilion is themed at “Exploring Hong Kong”. Over 1,000 exhibited will be showcased in our stand (Stand No.: A511 in Hall 1) which are included variety of publication, printed matters, electronic publication and award-winning exhibited. Meanwhile, over 700 variety of books will be sold on the stand during this period. Besides, the impressive collections will be demonstrative in our “Creative Corner” which are assembled the multi-media onto our publication and printed matters.
