Canada A1006

The Canadian Trade Office in Taipei welcomes you to the Canada stand!

Come and experience Canada’s diversity in Creative and Publishing industries. A selection of award-winning Canadian English and French children’s books are available for visitors to discover. Story reading in Chinese will be organised daily for young audiences. A special illustration exhibition “Le Montrealer” featuring 52 illustrations with stories in Montreal is on display. “Le Montrealer” exhibition curator Mr. Nicolas Trost and illustrator Ms. Janou-Eve LeGuerrier are at TIBE to deliver talks about exhibition and children’s book industry in Quebec.

Mr. Nicolas Trost

After completed his studies in communication in Strasbourg, France. In 2003, he crossed the Atlantic to realize his Quebec dream in Canada. For almost a decade, he directed an artists' association and an art gallery. Then he turned to youth publishing where he collaborates again with illustrators and authors. He now splits his time between personal projects and publishing.

Ms. Janou-Eve LeGuerrier

Illustrator Janou-Eve is fascinated by light, colour, and pretty much everything she sees. Through her sometimes curious, sometimes gentle (and sometimes both at the same time) images, she hopes to capture those fleeting, singular moments of life: beautiful, fragile, and intense. Janou-Eve is now exploring new approaches with gouache.

Israel A1120

Israel Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei showcases the most prominent books about Israel and Jewish culture, and present Amos Oz’s books to salute this Israeli Literary Giant who passed away in the end of 2018.

New Zealand A1111
