Yūichi Kimura (1948–) was born and raised in Tokyo. He graduated from Tama Art University. His works cover a wide variety of categories; such as picture books, nursery tales, chapter books, plays, and comics, etc. His stories often focus on the theme of friendship and are well-received by children. His works include One Stormy Night, Playing People, Peekaboo Game, and Baby's Play Books series.
