貝爾茲兒童出版社於1971年由Hans-Joachim Gelberg先生建立，當時名為貝爾兹和歌爾貝格出版社。我們從建立之初就將為成長中的孩子們出好書為己任，好書包括美好的文學内容和藝術的插圖。我們大部分圖書已經被翻譯成多種語言。員工共計430人（包括技術工作人員），在德國、奥地利、瑞士的出版社總排行榜中名列第61位。Beltz & Gelberg was established in 1971 as the literary children’s book division of Beltz Publishing Group.
