Belgium: Ian De Haes

2018年01月26日 /

Always fascinated by drawing, Ian de Haes is painter and illustrator. He is the author of The Anger of Simon. With Charlotte Bellière, he published Imagine, I lost my slipper and The little old lady on the ground floor.

After studying computer graphics in Namur, he began studies of illustration in an art school l’ESA Saint-Luc in Brussels. Ian is what you might call "true Belgian" because, having passed his childhood in Leuven and adolescence in the Ardennes, he lived for several years in Brussels, and therefore speaks French, Dutch and English. He is passionate about this area and has always wanted to combine his art and the children's book. Ian also works as a free-lance graphic designer, painter, and involved in digital retouching and product design works. Outside of the time that he devotes to painting and illustration, he works as a part-time bookseller specializing in children's literature.
