About “Reinventing the New”

Publishing nowadays knows no fixed structure, no straightforward business models, and not even consistent players. Due to the enormous possibilities of the World Wide Web, innovation becomes possible without having big budgets on hand. But this global work environment demands many innovative ideas and strategies from content and service providers worldwide.

This year’s TIBE Frankfurt Publishers Training Program will deal with four important publishing topics, from a new and international perspective:

New Markets

Understanding other international publishing markets is the beginning of each and every good international strategy. Learn more about four important Markets: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Thailand.

New Business

Publishers are facing an increasingly competitive and changing environment. They have to adapt constantly and accept that disruption is the new normal. There is no time to lay back and relax. You need to stay ambitious, to continue to challenge yourself and to look for the next (big) thing. This Topic will lead you into the world of augmented and virtual reality and close with a hands-on Workshop on the creation of new business models for the Publishing industry.

New Marketing

How to make a real difference in your marketing strategy? How can Storytelling and online content marketing go hand in hand? How do you create stories, nurture them, and stimulate them? And what do you need to know to build up a marketing strategy that fosters curiosity in your customers’ minds, a curiosity that will convert into sales. This section will be accompanied by a hands-on workshop, which will leave you with a deeper understanding of the latest online Marketing strategies.

New China

The Chinese publishing market is complex and changes rapidly, just like the country itself. The increasing sale of licenses to Chinese publishing houses over the past few years demonstrates that there is a growing interest in foreign books, which also leads to new opportunities for international publishers. But how to really get your titles into the Market? This section will help you to answer the most important questions on the Chinese market.
