Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) is well-known as the most significant gateway to access to the Asian book market and professionals for rights negotiation and international collaboration for the French publishers.

For the year 2010, Taipei Book Fair Foundation (TBFF) would like to invite France to be the Guest of Honor at TIBE. With over 60,000 title productions and total proceeds 4.5 billion USD each year, France is indeed one of the leading and professional countries for publishing in the world. In France, thousands of literature prize and competition will be held every year, such as PRIX GONCOURT and PRIX FÉMINA, which always become the focus of the worldwide media. The collaboration between Taiwan and France is on the increase in recent years. Therefore, we expect to present the French new look at TIBE and reach the following aims:

1. Motivating the intensive business chances for the French publishers regarding rights negotiation and trading with China, Australian and Asian publishers
2. Establishing the mutual interactive between Asian and French exhibitors and chance for promotion of French publications and productions
3. Creating the best communication between the French and Taiwanese writers
4. Building a profound understanding for the Taiwanese readers to French culture and new publishing trend
